Nella straordinaria cornice del lago di Garda con i suoi colori e le sue luci, tra le colline moreniche che si estendono tra il golfo di Salò ed il golfo di Manerba, ha sede a Cisano di San Felice la Fondazione Cominelli.
Lo splendido palazzo che si affacciata sul golfo di Salò, eretto nel XVII secolo dalla famiglia Cominelli, ospita la sede della Fondazione.
La Fondazione Cominelli, nell’ambito della sua attività culturale si propone ora con un articolato progetto di divenire punto di riferimento per le arti applicate, non solo come luogo espositivo, ma luogo dove “si fa” arte applicata, organizzando laboratori (workshop) e conferenze a tema; di questo complesso panorama sceglie di presentarne e di indagarne alcuni settori, la fotografia, la ceramica, il gioiello.
Accanto alla Fondazione Cominelli cura e promuove l’evento agc, già promotore di altri progetti sul territorio nazionale.
agc Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo fondata nel giugno 2004, ha tra i suoi obiettivi statutari la valorizzazione e la diffusione della cultura del gioiello contemporaneo.
Il Gioiello Contemporaneo rappresenta oggi un settore di ricerca avanzata e di sperimen- tazione di nuovi linguaggi espressivi e di valorizzazione del concetto di ornamento perso- nale.
In stretto contatto con la comunità internazionale, l`associazione porta avanti una serie di iniziative volte a promuovere un confronto costruttivo e sinergico con altre realtà artistiche e produttive.

In questo ambito si istituisce per la prima volta il “Premio Fondazione Cominelli” riferito quest’anno, ad un premio internazionale per artisti orafi e designers e per l’anno prossimo anche alle sezioni di oreficeria degli Istituti d’Arte e scuole del gioiello contemporaneo.
Il primo premio sarà assegnato ad un partecipante tra i selezionati per la mostra “Premio Fondazione Cominelli” sulla contemporaneità nel mondo dell’oreficeria di ricerca .
All’interno di questo progetto è importante rilevare l’intenzione della Fondazione di costituire a seguito degli eventi che si organizzeranno presso la sua sede una collezione permanente di gioielli contemporanei.
Target: la mostra è concepita come opportunità per artisti orafi, designers, per presentare il proprio lavoro e per contribuire alla più ampia divulgazione del gioiello contemporaneo. Non si pongono limiti per ciò che riguardano i materiali usati.
Partecipazione: la partecipazione alla mostra avviene attraverso l’iscrizione all’indirizzo e-mail : rosa.art@alice.it le modalità sono pubblicate sul sito dell’associazione.
Selezione: Graziano Visintin, artista orafo, selezionerà i 30 partecipanti.
Per la selezione saranno adottati criteri di valutazione che comprendano la qualità orafo/artistica, l’originalità e contemporaneità dei pezzi presentati, in fase d’iscrizione tramite materiale fotografico.
agc non avrà alcun potere decisionale, né potrà entrare in merito riguardo alle domande di partecipazione, essendo la giuria esterna all’associazione.
La giuria sarà composta da figure rivelanti del modo del gioiello contemporaneo
Premio
Verrà assegnato il primo premio all’autore considerato più meritevole ed un secondo premio all’autore con la tecnica più innovativa.

In the extraordinary setting of Lake Garda with its colours and lights, among the moraine hills that stretch from the Gulf of Salò and the Gulf of Manerba, at Cisano di San Felice we find the Fondazione Cominelli.
The splendid building, built in the XVII century by the Cominelli family, overlooks the Gulf of Salò, houses the Foundation.
The Fondazione Cominelli, in carrying out its cultural activities has now come up with an articulated project where it becomes a reference point for the applied arts, not only for exhibitions, but also as a place where applied art “is done”; it does this by organising workshops and conferences on the subject; of this complex panorama it has chosen to present and delve into some sectors only: photography, ceramics and jewellery.
The Fondazione Cominelli is sided by agc which organises and promotes the event. Agc has already promoted other projects on the national territory.
Agc, Associazione Gioiello Contemporaneo (Contemporary Jewellery Association) founded in June 2004, has, among its statutory objectives, that of drawing attention to the value of the contemporary jewellery culture and spreading it.
Contemporary jewellery today represents a sector of advanced research and experimentation of new expressive languages as well as exploiting the personal ornament concept.
In close contact with the international community, the association follows up a series of initiatives aimed at promoting a constructive and synergistic confrontation with other artistic and productive realities.
Here, for the first time, the “Premio Fondazione Cominelli” will be founded, this year referred to an international award for jewellery artists and designers and next year to the gold and jewellery areas of the Art Institutes and schools of contemporary jewellery.
The first prize will be awarded to one of the participants selected for the “Premio Fondazione Cominelli” exhibition on contemporaneity in the jewellery research world.
Within this project it is important to point out the Foundation’s intention to set up a permanent collection of contemporary jewellery, following the events that will be organised there.
Target: The exhibition was conceived as an opportunity for goldsmith artists and designers to show their work and contribute to further spreading the knowledge of contemporary jewellery. There is no set limit to the materials they use, the measurements must not, however, exceed 15x15 cm and diameter 25 cm max.
Participation: whoever wishes to take part in the exhibition may register at the following email address: rosa.art@alice.it ; the modalities are published on the website of the association. (see announcement)
Selection: Graziano Visintin ,jewellery artist,will select the 30 participants.
The selection will adopt assessment criteria that will take into consideration the goldsmith/artistic quality, the originality and contemporaneity, by accurately assessing, during the registration phase, the photographs of the pieces to be presented.
The agc will have no decisional power, nor will it have any say regarding the applications for participation, the jury coming from outside the association.
The Jury: Will be composed of important figures in the world of contemporary jewellery.
The Award: The first prize will be assigned to the artist who merits it most, and the second prize to the artist with the most innovative technique.

Please remember: the exhibition space is limited and we must, therefore limit participation the number to a group of 30 artists only.
Registration for selection must be done by, and not later than, the 30st April 2010, and is subject to applications being sent to: rosa.art@alice.it
